WSDC 2011 – Team Qatar

This is part of the WSDC 2011 series as I recount and report on the World School Debating Championship 2011 in Dundee, Scotland as a debater, blogger and Wales national team member.

After a complex selection process, the WSDC 2011 Team Qatar has emerged. They will be

• Khalid al Khulaifi (Doha Independent Secondary School)
• Majed al Ansari (Park House English School)
• Safa Fajr Kashaf (Park House English School)
• Reem Hani Ballan Safar (Al Resalah Independent Secondary School)
• Yousef Nabeel Fakhroo (Tareq Bin Zyaid Independent Secondary School)

Team Qatar will be coached by Madeline Hall and accompanied by Dr Buthaina al Mulla who will attend as a judge.

WSDC 2011 – Team Qatar Trials

This is part of the WSDC 2011 series as I recount and report on the World School Debating Championship 2011 in Dundee, Scotland as a debater, blogger and Wales national team member.

For WSDC 2011, Team Qatar has selected a 12 person squad from whom 5 final team members will be selected.

Some stats on the squad:

• 7 girls, 5 boys
• 4 are in Year 12, 6 are in Y11, 2 are in Y10
• 6 from international schools, 6 from independent schools
